Portrait Commissions in Oil, Charcoal, and Graphite.
I am happy to create your portrait from from live sittings at my studio in Toronto or from photographs sent or e-mailed to me depending on your schedule and location. I am equally comfortable with either method provided the photos are of acceptable quality. If you prefer, I am happy to suggest a composition and take my own photos from which to work.
Completion of the portrait may take from 1 to 6 months, depending on size, subject matter, medium, the client’s preferred style (impressionistic or realistic) and whether I am working from photos or from live sittings (live sittings and works in oil may take longer)
Once the portrait is completed the client will view it and discuss any adjustments that he / she would like to have me make. At that time I will take the portrait back to my studio to make the final adjustments. We then either meet for the final unveiling or, for clients living abroad, we correspond via e-mail with photos of the finished portrait for approval

From: $ 3000 (20" x 16") and up depending on size
Please add 50% for each additional person
50% deposit is required to secure the commission - 50% balance is due upon completion.

All materials and taxes are included in the price.
